The South Carolina Marine Association has been organized since 1996. Initially we served as the state’s marina association, but have reorganized to include the whole marine industry of South Carolina. You, as a valued member of our state’s marine-oriented business community, are invited to be a part of the on-going effort to bring attention to the importance of our industry to the State of South Carolina.

Our marine industry provides recreational, employment, economic, and environmental benefits to South Carolina. Our members are working for the future enjoyment and preservation of the use of our waterways by our customers and neighbors. The SCMA educates the general public, and our legislators, as to our industry’s contribution to the economy and betterment of our state.

Please consider becoming a part of our membership. You will be represented in all state issues concerning boating, fishing, and the recreational marine industry. You will receive periodic updates on these issues as well as federal issues affecting these interests. You will be invited to all Board of Directors meetings; these are held in different locations around the state to make attendance easier for our members. You will be able to vote annually on the governing board. You will be invited to our annual membership meeting in December. Lastly, should you become interested in participating on a committee, you are always welcome. The SCMA currently represents over 100 marine-oriented companies doing business in South Carolina.
